ALL OF YEAR 6 ARE NOW ENROLLED ON READING PLUS AND SHOULD HAVE A LOGIN. IF YOU HAVE BEEN ON IT BEFORE THEN YOU CAN USE YOUR OLD USERNAME AND PASSWORD. TRY TO DO AT LEAST 5 LESSONS A WEEK. MIX UP THE GENRES THAT YOU CHOOSE. USE YOUR COMBOS AND RE-READS.
This page will give you all you may need to access learning from home. It will updated and should help you with different topics.
At the bottom of this page you will see some weekly tasks/resources that you should try and do.
On the webpage you will find links to some G.P.S papers, comprehensions and writing tasks.
I would hope that you would continue with your daily reading. If you are enrolled on Reading Plus you should log on and aim for at least 5 sessions a week. A mixture of reading and vocabulary. Spelling shed should be accessed daily and practise your Stage 5/6 spellings.
Underneath you will find links to past papers. It doesn’t matter if they are papers you have already completed. There will be arithmetic papers which you should try to daily.
Try to complete the 5 a day maths challenges. Challenge yourself to work through them in the following order: Bronze, silver, gold, platinum.
For this week we will follow BBC bitesize and we will put the daily links on Twitter. The following link will bring you to the website https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zncsscw/year-6-and-p7-lessons/1
If you go on White Rose Maths you will find some video tutorials to help you.
TTRockstars should be accessed daily and continue to practise 4 a day.
This week in school Year 6 will be looking at some historical figures. We will be discussing the good and bad they did and weighing up their actions. The children will then choose a historical figure and create a research project considering and evaluating good and bad deeds in that figure's life.
Our Collective Worship this week is Memories. We hope you will take 10 minutes each day to reflect and think about this topic. There are some ideas on our plan or you can make up your own collective worship.
