Welcome to the PTA section!

Our Christmas Fayre was held on Saturday 3rd December in school. It was very well attended and proved to be a great success. We raised the sum of approx. £2500.00. We are still awaiting the exact figures from a couple of other stalls before we reach the final figure. Thank you to all who attended. Discussions are currently on-going with Mr.White with regards to the funding of the re-furbishment of the school computer suite. The money raised from the fayre and the school discos next week will go towards the suite.

 MUCH WOOLTON P.T.A.

On Wednesday 21st September we held our A.G.M. in the school hall. The meeting was well attended with our new headteacher Mr White present as well as Miss Gradwell and some new parents of our Foundation children. A lot was discussed in relation to our plans for the forthcoming school year with regards to future events and fundraising to finance items such as computer technology and improvements in the school playgrounds amongst other things. Mr. White is currently liaising with the relevant companies to establish costings for the above and he will report back to us in due course.  We anticipate a very productive year for the P.T.A. working closely with our teaching staff to ensure the maximum amount of pupils benefit from all money raised at our events. However, we require the support of as many parents as possible to support us, either by becoming actively involved in the P.T.A. or alternatively, simply supporting our fundraising events. With this in mind we plan to produce a full list of P.T.A. events for this forthcoming year which will be sent out on parentmail in the next two weeks. In the meantime, we have enclosed details of three events that you may wish to place in your diary;

 

 FAMILY NIIGHT/DISCO- FRIDAY 14TH OCTOBER 6.30-9PM.

This event will be held in the school hall. It is always extremely popular and the tickets sell out very quickly year after year. Tickets are priced at £4.00 for adults (includes a hotpot supper) and £2.50 for children (includes a hotdog and drink). Steve our resident D.J. will be on hand to entertain providing fun and games for all. We have a licensed bar selling wine and beer and raffle tickets will be on sale with the chance to win some good prizes. FANCY DRESS IS OPTIONAL FOR ADULTS AND THE KIDS.

 

Due to previous demand we have to sell the tickets on a first come first served basis.  Tickets will be on sale immediately after school in the playground on MONDAY 3RD and TUESDAY 4TH OCTOBER.   Due to health and safety issues we are strictly limited to 150 tickets.  Therefore, once those tickets are sold we are unable to sell anymore. Children MUST be supervised by an adult and under no circumstances will children be admitted unless this is the case.  

 

 P.T.A.CHRISTMAS PARTY- FRIDAY 25th NOVEMBER

This event is for adults only. The evening will consist of a disco, race nite, hot buffet, raffles etc, etc. It will be staged at Christ the King Parish Club on Queens Drive. Full details including ticket prices will be released on parentmail nearer the time but this is definitely one worth putting in your diary. Please feel free to invite family and friends to this event.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to make you aware that we hold a P.T.A. meeting every month in school. All parents are welcome to attend. Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday 4th October at 6.45pm.
